KEC International To Acquire SAE Towers For $95 Mn

KEC International Limited is set to buy SAE Towers Holdings LLC (SAE Towers) for $95 Mn from Washington-based private equity firm ACON Investments.

The transaction is expected to close in September 2010, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

This acquisition will strengthen KEC’s global leadership position in the large and growing markets of North America and Latin America. SAE Towers has a significant presence in geographic areas which are of substantial interest to KEC.

 

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, SAE Towers is the manufacturer of steel lattice transmission towers in US with annnual production capacity of 100,000 metric tons.

Confidence Petro Acquires Bangalore-Based Sneha Petroleum

Confidence Petroleum India Limited (CPIL) has acquired Bangalore-based Sneha Petroleum.

Sneha Petroleum is engaged in providing services of LPG bottling, LPG storage facility and DPT job work for Bharat Petroleum.

This acquisition will help CPIL by way of feeding market of auto LPG, industrial LPG, LPG bottling assistance and DTP business in the Southern region. The acquisition will also help CPIL to save huge amount on storage of LPG required to feeds its auto LPG stations (ALDS) in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and nearby markets.

NSL Power To Sell 49% In Power Unit

NSL Power Limited (NPL), a part of Hyderabad’s seeds-to-energy NSL group is selling up to a 49% stake in its conventional power business.

The fund raised will be used for the power project and its also wants to use the competencies of the investor.

NPL, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nuziveedu Seeds Limited (NSL), works in both conventional and renewable energy projects.

Solar Energy Firm Clover Solar Is Looking For PE Funding

Solar Energy provider Clover Solar Pvt Ltd (CSPL) is looking to raise Rs.50 Cr through private equity by diluting around 25% stake to fund its solar power projects . The deal will value CSPL at around Rs.200 Cr.

It is making a Rs.300 Cr investment over the next two-years to set up 25 MW of solar power plants pan-India.

 

Incorporated in 2007, CSPL, a subsidiary of Clover Technologies Pvt Ltd, is a total turnkey solution provider, consultant to solar photovoltaic projects and a system integrator for off-grid and on-grid solar projects. CSPL is also keen in promoting awareness for solar energy to remote areas.

NEAH, fuel cells developing company has signed a letter of intent with Bangalore-based Eko Vehicles, a producer of two-wheeled electric vehicles..

Through this merger, NEAH can enter Indian markets, where it expects to have high demand for its fuel cells for a variety of military and industrial applications in India and Asia.

Symphony Service Acquires US Based CoreObjects Software

Bangalore-based Symphony Service Corporation has acquired CoreObjects Software Inc, a Los Angeles-based new product development services provider, that specialises in bringing commercially deployable products to market.

With CoreObjects’ engineering delivery centers in Bangalore and Pune, India and its team of highly skilled full-time product engineers and deep vertical market expertise, Symphony Services will expand its offerings in the product development and embedded product development space.

This acquisition also provides Symphony Services access to additional re-usable components and frameworks for product development, including CoreObjects' Smart Objects suite of software assets designed to speed clients' products to market.
