Indium IV (Mauritius) Holdings Ltd has received CCEA's approval to invest $500 Mn in an Indian PE firm. Indium IV (Mauritius) proposed to invest $500 Mn in India Value Fund IV, which is a subsidiary of India Value Fund Advsiors Pvt. Ltd. As per FEMA regulations, Indium IV should register itself as a Foreign Venture Capital Investor. Also, the domestic fund (i.e India Value Fund IV) should not invest into any sectors where there are FDI caps, conditionalites and entry route restrictions. India Value Fund IV closed at $725 in July 2009. Prior to this, IVF had closed its third fund at $400 million in January 2007, second fund at $175 million in 2005, and the first fund at $35 million in 2000. IVF Advisors Pvt. Ltd with a fund size of $ 1310 Mn, has RDC concrete, Mahindra Castings, SFO Technologies, V Link Travel Solutions amongst others in its portfolio. IVF IV specifically invests in sectors like entertainment, healthcare, media and pharmaceuticals. |
