CIIE iAccelerator incubated-Alma Connect has raised angel funds of $2,50,000 from CIIE-IIM Ahmedabad, IXORA Ventures, CountShop.com, Dharmendra Yashovardhan (Co-Founder, IXIGO) and a few other angel investors.

Founded by Swapnil Khandelwal and Rubish Gupta, Alma Connect connects alumni & institutes through it's research based platform that brings institute, alumni, students and faculty on the same platform and drives them into a mutually beneficial ecosystem.

Alma Connect is also a CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad incubated & funded company alongside an investment from DAIICT's incubation centre – DCEI.

Currently, AlmaConnect has 45 institutes across the country paying an annual subscription cost for using the platform to connect to their alumi. On an average, 40% of the community of an institute signs up of which 30% is organic.

This Feb, Ixora Ventures and a consortium of angels invested an undisclosed amount in Digital learning solutions provider - Learnpedia Edutech Solutions.

Last October, Indian Angel Network invested an undisclosed amount in Alma Mater, an online brand for official school and college merchandise.

Alma Mater aims to provide students and alumni of schools and colleges across India with a means of expressing their pride at being products of such reputed institutions.
