SkoolShop.com, a brand of Occasion Kommerce Private Limited has raised an undisclosed amount from Blume Ventures, Sunil Kalra, Srikant Shastri, Vikas Choudhury and Puneet Deora, according to yourstory.in.

The raised funds will be used to hire more people and to ramp up marketing and sales. Currently they have a team of around 25 professionals.

Founded by Satya Raghavan and Anusha Mahalingam, SkoolShop.com is a portal that provides products related to School and Education operating on both, B2B and B2C models. The company has more than 50,000 SKU’s ranging from stationary to uniforms to educational tablets, which are sourced from over 300 vendors.

SkoolShop works with large school chains (more than 8) and are supplying to more than 200 schools in total currently. The company has offices in Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore apart from Mumbai and supplies throughout the nation (B2C) but has schools primarily in west and north India.

Earlier in 2011, the company raised angel investment from Rajan Anandan and Jaspreet Bindra.

Similar kind of portal - AllSchoolStuff.com raised angel funding from Angel Investors Consortium last year.

AllSchoolStuff provides online stores for students, parents, teachers and schools to choose from a wide variety of branded, high quality products to meet all their educational supplies needs.
