Hinduja Group Buys Struggling European Media Firm Alfacam

Hinduja Group, the global conglomerate with interests across banking, automobile, trading and media has agreed to buy Belgian TV production company, Alfacam.
While proving an opportunity for the buyer and a lifeline for the seller, the details of the acquisition was not disclosed.
Based out of U.K, the deal would facilitate Hinduja group enhance its presence across Europe and cross-sell content between the nations.
Alfacam is known for providing TV services to broadcasters and production houses and is a well-known name when it comes to broadcasting of films and major sports and entertainment events. The firm got short-lived flight when it was appointed to film the recent London Olympic Games and the European Football Championships in Poland and Ukraine.
French pharmaceutical company, Sanofi has invested R90 Cr in Apollo Sugar Clinics Limited, the diabetes focused healthcare unit of Apollo Hospitals. The investment is being routed through Sanofi-Synthelabo India by a combination of primary and secondary infusion.
