GPT Infra To Sell Wind Power Biz
GPT Infraprojects Limited is planning to sell, transfer or otherwise dispose off its wind power business. It has two Wind Turbine Generator based power plants each having 1.25 M.W. capacity both located in Tamilnadu. GPT Infra has received the board approval for the same.
GPT Infraprojects Limited (GPTIL), the flagship company of GPT Group was incorporated in 1980. The company operates primarily in two division – the Sleeper Division and the Infrastructure Division.
The Infrastructure Division is involved in civil infrastructure projects for Railways, Roads, Airports, Industrial and Urban Infrastructure. The Concrete Sleeper Division is involved in manufacturing of concrete sleepers for railways systems in India and abroad.
GPT Infra has its presence in South Africa, Namibia, Myanmar, Mozambique, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
GPT Infra On BSE
The company recorded consolidated revenue of R427.77 Cr for the year ended March 31, 2012 and has current orders in hand of about R1565 cr in its Infrastructure division.
This February, Lanco Infratech was planning to exit it's wind power business - Lanco Wind Power Pvt. Ltd
