Vishal Electro Power Limited has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Precise Electricals, manufacturer of customized Instrument Transformers for an undisclosed amount.

CapitalSquare Advisors was the sole advisor to the deal.

Precise Electricals manufactures customized Instrument Transformers (both Current and Potential transformers) for the Power industry, with an average production capacity of approx 40,000 transformers per month.

Its list of clientele includes some of the major players of the Power sector like - Siemens Ltd, Schneiders Ltd, GE Power Controls, ABB Ltd, Larsen & Toubro Ltd, many more in the league.

Promoted by Sharad Khattar, Vishal Electro Power designs, manufactures and supplies ‘customized instrument transformers’. The company incorporates three units. Primary unit manufactures oil-cooled transformers. Secondary unit is responsible for complete fabrication. Tertiary unit handles the complete epoxy casting system.

Its client base includes ABB, AREVA T&D, BHEL etc

In this space, ABB India acquired Hungary based transformer service company - General Trafo to expand its transformer service offering for distribution and small power transformers. Hammond Power Solutions Inc. acquired 70% equity stake in the transformer business of Hyderabad-based Pan-Electro Technic Enterprises Pvt Ltd

Suzlon Energy sold 26% stake in Belgium-based Hansen Transmissions International N.V. to Germany-based ZF Friedrichshafen AG, for 115 Mn pounds.
