Unamia Secures Seed Funds From Blume Ventures, Angel Prime
Online kidswear brand – Unamia has secured seed funds of $1.2 Mn from Blume Ventures and Angel Prime.
This May, it raised angel funds from Angel Prime.
Unamia, founded by Jyotsna Pattabiraman, Debasis Chakraborty and Mihir Mohan, is a platform that aims to make world-class kidswear accessible to parents across India.
The company targets the R38,000 Cr kidswear market by creating a world-class range of kidswear and building deep engagement with customers. Demand for kidswear is growing by 20% year over year.
Angle Prime was launched by Shripati Acharya, Bala Parthasarathy and Sanjay Swamy to cater the needs in Electronic Payments, eCommerce, Smartphones & Tablet-based applications startups. It is an initiative to provide mentorship,seed money and all other requirements for early stage startups which want to go higher.
Recent investment by Blume ventures includes – Covacsis, RedQuanta, Shantani Proteome and HashCube among others.
In the space, Indian Angel Network, Harvard Angels and Orios Ventures invested undisclosed amount in online lingerie brand – PrettySecrets; Cherish Life Products, which operates online portal CHERISHmaternity.com raised angel investment from Rehan Yar Khan, Blume Ventures, Rajan Anandan, Sunil Kalra, Farooq Oomerbhoy and others.
Zovi. com raised $10Mn series B round of funding from Tiger Global and SAIF Partners.
