US-based Manpower Group has acquired remaining 26% stake in Web Development Company Limited and accordingly the Kolkata-based company has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of ManpowerGroup's Experis brand. The financials details of the transaction is undisclosed.

Last year, Manpower bought 74% stake in WDC to provide IT-related staffing and services operations of Manpower in India.

The acquisition of WDC has enhanced and strengthened the position of Experis in response to the demands and needs of clients.

Founded in 1998 by Rahul Sharma and Harsh Hada, WDC is engaged into T staffing business and also offers application support services to many large clients in India and Asia Pacific. It has more than 1,400 employees and also has an office in Singapore.

Some of its clients include companies like IBM, Cap Gemini, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Tata Technologies, PriceWaterHouse Coopers and KPIT Cummins.

Experis offers professional resourcing and project-based workforce solutions. It helps in delivering in-demand talent for mission-critical positions, enhancing the competitiveness of organisations and individuals.

Recently, Italy based Gi Group acquired 49% stake in JV Elixir Consulting, recruitment process outsourcing firm from JV partner for around R75-100Cr.

This year in January, US based Automatic Data Processing acquired Ma Foi Consulting Solutions Ltd from Randstad Holding Nv. for an undisclosed amount. Ma Foi Consulting offers managed payroll services and social benefits administration to clients across India through a fully customized payroll engine.
