Mahindra Satyam Acquires International Operations Of vCustomer

Mahindra Satyam has acquired international operations of Delhi based vCustomers International Services Private Limited for $27Mn.
According to TOI, the acquisition marks the entry of Mahindra Satyam's BPO operations into other verticals such as Retail and Consumer Technology in addition to enhancing its technical support business.
Founded in 1991 by Sanjay Kumar, vCustomer Corporation, headquartered in Kirkland, Washington, provides Customer Support and Business Process Outsourcing services with operations in the US, UK, Philippines and India.
It provides solution in Retail and Consumer Technology sectors.
Tata Power has approached Australia-based Firestone Energy with an offer to acquire a 30% stake in the company's Sekoko coal JV in South Africa with a view to developing Firestone's Smitspan export thermal coal mine.
Hyderabad-based CVR Group unit Navayuga Power may sell stake in its power assets to Toshiba, Sumitomo, Mitsubishi & GDF Suez. The deal Value expected to be in between INR 13,800 to 14,400 Mn for equity stake 49 to 51%.
