Apax Partners Funded Apollo Hospitals Plans To Raise R100Cr
Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited is planning to raise R100Cr to fund its operation.
According to BS, the hospital is looking at raising funds through bonds with a call option at the end of the third year.
Last July, Apollo raised R330Cr through QIP.
Chennai-based Apollo's current bed strength is 8,717 across 54 hospitals within and outside India.
It targets to add around 2,400 beds in the next two to three years with an investment of R1100Cr.

The company has earlier raised funding from Apax Partners, CLS, Emerging Markets among others.
Apollo Hospitals has formed JV - WHITE Dental Care, a dental clinic with Trivitron Healthcare. The company has launched four formats with a different pricing strategy, including Dental Spa as a super-specialty luxury brand, Dental Studio as the second line after the spa, Dental Clinics as neighbourhood clinics and Dental Express, which would mainly address the beauty aspects of dental care.
At present, Apollo holds 70% and Trivitron holds 30% in the JV. It is planning to open five to seven spas and expand to 100 clinics in different formats.
