IndiaHomes Raises $4Mn From Helion Venture, Foundation Capital, May Acquire IT Firm
IndiaHomes, a real estate brokerage firm has raised $4Mn from Helion Venture Capital and Foundation Capital and is planning to raise $6Mn over next one year for expansion.
The company is planning to acquire Mumbai-based IT firm to boost online transactions.
Agni Property has re-branded itself as IndiaHomes and has launched a new property pricing software – Goldmine.
In 2010, it had raised $12 Mn (around Rs.53 Cr) by selling minority stake to US-based venture capital firm Foundation Capital and India-based Helion Venture Partners.
Founded in 2007, IndiaHomes handles and supports the property buying, selling, leasing, and investing needs of clients for commercial and residential projects. It also provides legal consultation, transaction coordination and documentation, and home loan and financial services.
The company has presence in the NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata and plans to start operations in Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Hyderabad. It is also planning to increase staff strength to about 500 people from the current 300 employees.
