Komli Media Acquires SoftBank Backed AdMax Network

Norwest Venture Partners backed Komli Media has acquired online advertising network AdMax Network, according to pluggd.in.

This is Komli Media's fifth acquisition. Last year, it acquired 100% stake in Los Angeles-based mobile ad network platform, ZestAdz. Last year, it also acquired Singapore-based online advertising firm, Aktiv Digital, while in 2010, it acquired Australia-based site representation company, PostClick and UK-based online advertising firm, Indoor Media.

Admax Network Pte Ltd. was founded in 2006 and is based in Singapore. The company has additional offices in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia, and Vietnam. Admax Network Pte Ltd. operates as a subsidiary of Digital Marketing Solutions Company Limited.

Established in 2004, Digital Marketing Solutions. is the holding company for an integrated group of online and mobile advertising businesses across Southeast Asia with operations in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam

DMS Group comprises three operating companies: Admax Network, a digital advertising network with over 1,200 local and international sites reaching 65.2 mn readers across the region; Admax Plus (Syndacast.com), service provider for PR syndication, video syndication, search and social media marketing; and Impaq Interactive, the sales partner in Thailand and the Philippines for Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions and a developer of services and content for MSN across the Southeast Asia region.

In 2009, DMS Group raised series B funding from SoftBank China & India based Bodhi Fund for the development and expansion of AdMax Network. The company had earlier raised funding from IDG Ventures Vietnam.

Founded in 2006 by Amar Goel, Mumbai-based Komli Media provides ad network platform with solutions across performance marketing, social media, video advertising, audience targeting, rich media, online audience measurement and brand impact measurement. ViziSense, an online audience measurement and ad spends benchmarking platform is powered by Komli Media.

Last year, Komli had raised $15Mn from Norwest Venture Partners, Helion Venture Partners and Nexus Venture Partners. This was company's third round of funding. First was in 2008, when it raised $7 Mn followed by second round of $6 Mn in 2010 from Nexus, Helion and DFJ.
