Manappuram Finance Limited is planning to raise R400Cr through NCDs with an option to retain oversubscription of R200Cr.
Last Sept, the company raised R750Cr by issung NCDs for various financing activities including lending and investments and towards business operations including for capital expenditure and working capital requirements.
Manappuram Finance, the flagship company of the Manappuram Group, is a Thrissur (Kerala) based deposit taking NBFC and lends primarily against gold ornaments. The company is also into asset financing and fee-based financing.
Currently, it has over 2,500 branches across 22 states with AUM exceeding R10000Cr, a workforce of about 18,000 and a live customer base of 12 lakhs.
In 2010, the company also raised R1000Cr through QIP.
It has raised funding from Ashmore Alchemy India, Barings Private Equity PE Partners India Ltd, Sequoia Capital India and India Equity Partners.
Manappuram Finance On BSE
Manapuram Jewellery Limited, another group company is also planning to raise more than Rs100Cr to fund its growth plans.
