SeedFund Backed EduSports To Raise R20Cr For Expansion
SeedFund backed Edusports is planning to raise R20Cr VC funding.
The funds raised will be used for expansion, building systems and processes, infrastructure and creating platforms.
Last year, SV Edusports Private Limited raised R26Cr from Seedfund.
Founded in 2009, Bangalore-based EduSports provides sports curriculum and training to K-12 schools on an outsourcing model. Currently, it has partnership with 100 schools across 50 cities and plans to add another 100 schools by next year. It also plans to tie up with education chains like Pearson, Educomp and Radcliffe.
The company's flagship program, SOAR, is India’s first school sports management platform. It helps schools improve the overall quality of the physical education (PE) and sports experience through various services/products, like age-appropriate PE curriculum, age-appropriate props, daily lesson plans, teacher training, parent workshops and individualised fitness reports.
The company employs 140 people and has a turnover of R4-5Cr.
