IFC is investing $15Mn in India Knowledge-Manufacturing Fund I.

The fund with a target size of $150 Mn will invest in about eight to ten unlisted small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-cap companies in India.

The fund managed by Forum Synergies (India) PE Fund Managers Pvt. Ltd will invest in healthcare, information and communication technology, engineering (including related manufacturing and services), and clean technology.

The fund management team consists of Samir Inaamdar, Hemchandra Jhaveri, Prashant Goyal and Ishwar Subramanium. These professionals have held key positions in GE, Tyco Electronics, Maruti (Suzuki), Nike, Madura Garments (Aditya Birla Group), 3M, Akzo Nobel, Ernst and Young, among others.

The investment team of the fund includes professionals from Madrid based Axon Capital as well.
