IDFC PE has appointed Girish Nadkarni as a Partner. Prior joining IDFC, Nadkarni was Executive VP (Finance & Legal) and CFO of 
Rallis India Ltd and was a member of executive committee.
His earlier assignments include Deputy CFO at Tata Chemicals and VP at Tata Industries. At Tata Industries, he was involved in acquisition of VSNL, Hughes Tele.com, Escotel Mobile etc. and divestments of Tata’s stake in Idea, Tata Honeywell, apart from managing joint venture relationships like Avaya, Honeywell, Ascendas, Cingular, Birla, etc.
He has served on the Boards and Chaired Audit Committees of various Tata companies.
Set up in 2002, IDFC PE is a 100% susbsidiary of Infrastructure Development Finance Company Ltd. (IDFC).
IDFC PE manages three funds - $192 Mn (Rs.840 Cr) India Development Fund, $440 Mn (Rs.1,990 Cr) IDFC Private Equity Fund II and $644 Mn (Rs.2,900 Cr) IDFC Private Equity Fund III.
IDFC PE's other partners include S G Shyam Sundar (former I-Banker at ICICI Securities) and Raja Parthasarathy.
