Bessemer Venture Invests In Mumbai-Based CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions
Bessemer Venture Partners will invest Rs.20 Cr in Mumbai-based power generation company, CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions Pvt Ltd (CMES).
CMES is founded by Kuldeep Jain, a former partner at McKinsey. Company plans to use gas-based power and cooling solutions to offices and shops in India.

Some PE/VC deals in the power space this year include, Warburg Pincus investment of $150 Mn (Rs.670 Cr) in Diligent Power Private Limited, 3i India Infra Fund's $45 Mn investment in Ind-Barath Energy, among others.
This is Bessemer Partner's fourth investment in 2011. It will invest in Spanco Ltd's power distribution arm - Spanco Power Distribution Private Limited. It invested $30 Mn in Kiran Energy Solar Power and followed it by participating in $11.25 Mn investment round in NetAmbit Infosource with Helion Venturas and Silicon Valley Bank.
Last month, Bessemer Venture Partners closed $1.6 Bn Bessemer Venture Partner VIII fund, of which 25% will be invested in India.
Bessemer Ventures began its Indian operations seven years ago with an office in Mumbai and till date has invested in 31 companies like Orient Green Power, IL&FS Transportation, Applied Solar Technologies, among others.
