Zenox Lifesciences Limited is set to raise Rs.6 Cr through private equity route in a few months.

The funds will be utilised for new business opportunities, pan-India expansion by 2012 -13 and for buying brands.

Chennai-headquartered Zenox was formed in June 2010 by Dr. S.Arulrhaj - Common Wealth Medical Association President, Past President of Indian Medical Association and Former Chairman & Co-Promoter of Grandix Pharmaceuticals Limited; andby S.A.Manikandan - Former CEO of Strides Pharmaceuticals and Former Co-founder & Managing Director of Grandix Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

Pharma firm Zenox is promoted with an equity capital of Rs.4 Cr

Zenox is launching 15 products particularly for treating chronic ailments in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Orissa markets. It currently has 150 field operators.

According to Mr Manikandan “We expect to have a turnover of Rs.15 crores in the first six months of operations. We hope to increase the turnover to Rs.40 crores by the end of the financial year 2011-12 and to Rs.100 crores by 2012-13 by organic & inorganic means”.

It has tied up with Formulation Development Organization to create unique NDDS products and producing the same from WHO – cGMP certified contract manufacturing facilities.
