IFC will invest $5 Mn in India Collections Management Private Ltd (ICMPL) for a 20% stake, which values ICMPL at $25 Mn.

A receivable management Company, ICMPL is a JV between Mumbai-headquartered Tata Capital Limited (TCL) and Japan's Capital Services Holding Corporation (CSG).

ICMPL is proposed to be established with the objective of offering a wide range of receivables servicing, collection and management services to financial institutions and others in India.

Its operations will be located in Mumbai but more offices in other locations may be opened depending upon its business needs.

CSG, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, offers its loan servicing, real estate management, technology solutions and related services across Asia through its network of local offices in Japan, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and China. CSG has US$8 bn of AUM and was introduced to Tata Capital by IFC.

TCL, an NBFC is a subsidiary of Tata Sons Limited. TCL directly or indirectly through its subsidiaries offers consumer finance, advisory services, corporate finance, securities business, investment banking and private equity.

Recently, TCL's Singapore-based subsidiary Tata Capital Pte Ltd had entered into a strategic partnership with Japan’s Mizuho Securities to raise a $1bn private equity fund to invest in unlisted companies in the Indian mid-market space using the network provided by the Tata companies.

IFC has been investing in Indian companies and India based PE/VC funds since 1956. It has invested more than $4 Bn in 200 Indian companies.

Recently it has announced to invest $30 Mn in Kudos Chemie Limited. IFC will invest upto $5 Mn in Attero Recycling Private Limited and $10 Mn in Ahmedabad based newly formed NBFC - Ananya Finance For Inclusive Growth Pvt Ltd for a 20% stake.

IFC along with Bessemeer Venture Patners invested $2Mn in Applied Solar Technologies and IFC's other investments include Cholamandalam DBS Finance, Azure Power and Auro Mira Energy and has proposed to invests in Husk Power Systems and Aavishkar Goodwell India Microfinance Development Co.

In the BFSI space, many companies are on the fund raising spree through various routes.

Muthoot Finance Ltd (MFL) raised Rs.157 Cr from Baring Private Equity Partners India and Matrix Partners India. MFI's like Swadhaar FinServe, Fusion Microfinance has raised funds via PE route while other MFI's like Grameen Koota , Bandhan had planned to raise funds. Angel Broking is raising Rs.300 Cr from PE firms, AK Capital plans to raise Rs.400 Cr via QIP , Cholamandalam is also raising funds through QIP and others.

Recently Soros Fund picked 4% stake in BSE, while ADAG is planning to buy 26% stake in Indian Commodity Exchange.
