BCCL Picks Up Stake In Nobel Hygiene
Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd (BCCL) has boought a stake in Nobel Hygiene Pvt Ltd.
Funds raised through stake sale will be used by Nobel for its expansion.
Founded in 2001, Mumbai-based Nobel Hygiene is engaged in manufacturing and marketing diapers and personal hygiene products.

Nobel Hygiene manufactures baby diapers under the brand 'Teddyy' and diapers for adults under the brand 'Friends'. Its manufacturing plant is located in Goa and has recently set up a plant in Nashik, Maharashtra.
It has 450 distributors and 25 super stockiests allover India.
The other brnd competitors in this space are: 'Huggies' (Hindustan Liver), 'Maman' (L.G.), 'Pampers' (P&G) and 'Snuggy' (Shogun Diapers Ltd).
Last year, BCCL had acquired a stake in G J Freedom Fashions (GJFFL), a subsidiary of Gini & Jony.
BCCL other past investments include ICICI Bank (Rs 73 Cr), Videocon (Rs 100 Cr), Pantaloon (Rs 229 Cr), GMR (Rs 2.8 Cr), GTL Infra (Rs 45 Cr) and Fortis Healthcare (Rs 1.1 Cr). Many of these investments are private “treaties” or agreements with companies that are believed to have sold stake to BCCL in return for advertising space, for one, in TOI and ET.
