Jupiter Bioscience Raising $25 Mn Through GDR
Jupiter Bioscience Ltd is raising $25 Mn through GDR issue to fund its expansion plans.
This week, the company’s board has announced to raise $125 Mn through Preferential Issue / QIP / FCCB's / ADR's / GDR's and also proposed to issue convertible share warrants to the promoters and increase the authorized share capital of the company from Rs.3 Cr to Rs.70 Cr.

Jupiter Bioscience LTd is engaged in the production and selling of peptide group products, drug intermediates, specialty and fine chemicals.
It reported a turnover of Rs.142.92 Cr in 2008-09 with net profit of Rs.28.19 Cr.
The company is planning to expand its business focus on the non-peptide generic drug and intermediates based on organic and chiral chemistry. The non-peptide generic drug market is currently estimated at $80 Bn.
First half of calendar year 2010 has saw some fund raising activities in the pharma space - Warburg Pincus invested $85 Mn in Metropolis Healthcare LTd, Fortis Healthcare raised $83.5 Mn from GIC, Singapore, Jubilant Organosys raised $85 Mn through QIP, etc. Actis Biologics is also planning to rasie upto Rs.100 Cr through PE.
