Transport Corporation of India Ltd(TCI) has acquired 51% stake in Infinite Logistics Solutions Pvt Ltd for Rs 1.02 Cr, valuing Infinite at Rs 2 Cr. The remaining 49% stake will be held by Container Corp of India Ltd. The shares are being acquired from Reliance Logistics Pvt. Ltd. and Relogistics (India) Pvt. Ltd. Transaction Reference: DNA

Transaction Note Infinite will operate as a subsidiary of TCI. It will use the core competencies of TCI and CONCOR in multi modal cargo transportation & supply chain and rail cargo movements to provide end to end solutions to the customers. Infinite Logistics Solutions Pvt Ltd was formed in 2007 as a 51:49 JV between Reliance Logistics Pvt. Ltd and Container Corporation of India Ltd. According to a report by Cushman and Wakefield, Indian logistics industry is expected to grow annually at the rate of 15 to 20%, reaching revenues of approximately $385 bn by 2015.

Symphony Service Acquires US Based CoreObjects Software

Bangalore-based Symphony Service Corporation has acquired CoreObjects Software Inc, a Los Angeles-based new product development services provider, that specialises in bringing commercially deployable products to market.
With CoreObjects’ engineering delivery centers in Bangalore and Pune, India and its team of highly skilled full-time product engineers and deep vertical market expertise, Symphony Services will expand its offerings in the product development and embedded product development space.
This acquisition also provides Symphony Services access to additional re-usable components and frameworks for product development, including CoreObjects' Smart Objects suite of software assets designed to speed clients' products to market.
