Nagarjuna Fertilisers To Acquire German Company
Nagarjuna Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited plans to acquire a German Company that engages in the feedstock and fuel segment for 5mn euros over the next 2 years.
The company will incorporate a 100%-owned investment subsidiary in Mauritius called Nagarjuna Mauritius Pvt. Ltd with an equity capital of 5mn euros. This company, in turn, will reinvest in Nagarjuna Spawnt GmbH, Germany.
Through this arrangement, Nagarjuna Fertilisers will pick up 50% stake in the German company and will gain its management control.
Nagarjuna Fertilisers and Chemicals is a Hyderabad-based company, having operations in 2 areas of business- plant nutrients and feed and fuel stock.
In December 2009, the company acquired Kakinada Fertilisers Ltd. which now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Nagarjuna.
Nagarjuna Fertilisers posted a net profit of Rs 12.13cr for quarter ended 31 December, 2009.
