Career Launcher Acquires Minority Stake In 361 Degree Minds
Career Launcher India has acquired a minority stake in Chennai based 361 Degree Minds Pvt Ltd for $1 Mn. The funds will be used to scale up the delivery program, improve technology and bring out new innovative learning solutions. The exact stake was not disclosed. Career Launcher is expected to invest another $1-2 Mn in the second round in a few months.
361 Degree Minds – started in 2006 by three BITS alumni - Gopinathan CP, Ritu Vinayak and Rammohan P offers a variety of training solutions for corporates and educational institutions. 361 Degree’s learning solutions are aimed at training senior and middle level executives, teachers, engineers and parents among others.
The training solutions cover topics such as people management; career development programs and teacher training programs. It's clientele include Nokia, Siemens, AstraZeneca, Career Launcher and SanDisk among others.
Career Launcher India is a Delhi based education service provider with presence in over 130 locations across India, Middle East and the United States. CL provides test-prep education to enable school and college students gain admission to professional courses.
It is also involved in the field of mainstream education through Indus World School, which operates in eight cities including Gurgaon and Hyderabad. It also operates play schools in Hyderabad, Indore and Noida. CL operates these schools in partnership with Nalanda Foundation. PE firm - Gaja Capital Partners invested $8.20 Mn in Career Launcher in 2007.
MMM Training Solutions and NR Performance EDGE Consultants Pvt. Ltd. are the other Indian companies involved in corporate training. New York based - Dale Carnegie and Gazelles Inc. provide corporate training solutions globally.
These companies offer tailored training solutions covering topics like process improvement, customer service, sales effectiveness, leadership development and team Member engagement.
